Chatham Area Transit - Always on the move!
Chatham Area Transit (CAT) is continuing to make progress on the construction of our new downtown intermodal center and on the renovation of our main office at 900 East Gwinnett Street. We understand that customers are noticing some disruptions in service, and we would like to assure you that CAT staff is working diligently to make the experience as seamless as possible while we go through improvements.
We would like to suggest to customers calling the CAT offices to please remain on the line since calls are answered in the order received. Hanging up and calling back will only put you at the back of the line, increasing your wait. Upon completion of the renovation, a new, state-of-the-art system will be installed. This new technology promises that customers will immediately notice the improvements.
We apologize for the effects encountered during our growing pains and ask that the public bear with us as we continue to build toward the future and strive to be a clean, reliable, and safe transit system.
