Chatham Area Transit Authority (CAT) is a leading provider of mobility services and public transportation in historic Savannah, GA and Chatham County. CAT fixed route ridership is over 3,600,000. CAT services include a fare-free CAT Shuttle connecting most CAT routes in the downtown district, a fare-free parking garage shuttle service, a door to door transportation service for disabled persons and the newest member of the Savannah maritime family, the Savannah Belles Ferry system offering a unique alternative to the Talmadge Bridge as a link between Savannah and Hutchinson Island, site of the 330,000 square feet Savannah International Trade & Convention Center. CAT has a staff or 192 employees.
