This is a story about Cheshire Katt and his two sons Ali and Tom.  Along with his sons, Cheshire runs a small transportation company.  Cheshire handles the office duties while Ali and Tom each drive a different route.

Cheshires two vehicles are wearing out, but he's only got the resources to replace one at this time.  Cheshire's had to beg, borrow and steal to do it, but he's come up with the funds to buy a state of the art, top of the line piece of equipment.

Cheshire has all the facts and figures on accident probabilities in relation to runs, and also the personal records of his two sons.  Tom Katt's run takes him by 7 of the top accident corners in the county.  That along with his own carelessness has resulted in Tom's having been involved in a number of accidents.  Conversely Ali's run is a little less traveled, and he is a prepared and careful driver with an impeccable record.

Put yourself in Cheshire's place, if this was your money and it was your respondsibilty to protect so dear an investment, who would get the keys to the new vehicle, Tom or Ali?
