Officials of Chatham Area Transit Authority (CAT) are proud to announce the new provider for CAT Freedom, our accessible taxi program: Yellow Cab.
Operating in Savannah since 1922, Yellow Cab is the oldest and largest taxi service in Savannah. It offers the latest in computer-dispatching technology, featuring the first mobile taxi booking app in Savannah. With dispatchers available 24/7 and cameras for passenger and driver safety, Yellow Cab is the provider of choice by residents and visitors alike.
CAT Freedom is part of a nationwide initiative to further remove barriers to community living for people with disabilities. Its primary goals are the integration of Americans with disabilities into the workforce, the expansion of transportation options, and the promotion of full access to community life. This service is available to current paratransit patrons and others, managed by Chatham Area Transit, and operated by Yellow Cab.
