The newly configured Board of Directors for Chatham Area Transit Authority has voted to return to a self-managed transit authority. While the Board has been pleased with the progress that has been made under Veolia Transportation, it believes that it is in its best interest to have direct involvement in all future affairs of Chatham Area Transit. There will be a 45-day transition period with conversion commencing on May 15, 2013.
The sole priority of the Board, at this time, is to ensure a smooth transition for its customers and employees.
