The Chatham Area Transit Authority (CAT) Board announces that it will hold two special-called Executive Session meetings for the purposes of a personnel matter: interviewing applicants for the position of CEO/Executive Director for CAT and discussion and deliberation regarding the hiring, appointment, and employment of a new CEO/Executive Director. The Executive Sessions shall be for such purposes only, and no vote or action will be taken at the meetings.
The Executive Session meetings will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2016, and at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 17, 2016, in the Chatham County Commissioners’ offices located at 124 Bull Street, Suite 210, in downtown Savannah.
As Executive Sessions, the meetings are excepted from the Georgia Open Meetings Act and will not be open to the public or news media. [Ga. Code Ann. § 50-14-3(b)(2); See also, O.C.G.A. § 50-18-72(a)(7),(11).]
