CAT hosting community meeting, budget hearings on June 10

Savannah, Ga. – Chatham Area Transit will host a remote community meeting and budget public hearing on Wednesday, June 10, at 5:30 p.m.

The meeting will provide the public with an opportunity to have a dialogue with agency staff regarding transit services during the pandemic. The budget hearing at the beginning of the meeting will give people an opportunity to comment on or ask questions regarding the fiscal-year 2021 budget, which begins on July 1. A budget hearing also will be held earlier that day at 10 a.m.

The public can access the meeting and both budget hearings by calling (602) 610-2066 and then entering the conference code: 864520. Comments and questions can also emailed ahead of the meeting to meeting@catchacat.org.

The proposed budget may be examined on weekdays by appointment at the CAT administrative building, 900 E. Gwinnett Street, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. or online at www.catchacat.org/about-cat/transparency/.

The budget is scheduled for adoption at the CAT Board meeting on June 23.
