CAT to host public meeting concerning FY 2023 proposed budget and planned service modifications

Chatham Area Transit will host several public meetings to collect public feedback on June 7 to address the FY 2023 Proposed Budget. Staff is requesting public feedback before Board Approval on June 28, 2022.

In addition, CAT will be requesting public feedback regarding potential service modifications that will start in July. The potential changes are being planned to better match staffing levels of some bus routes.

Timing adjustments will be made to the following routes 4 Barnard, 6 Crosstown, 12 Henry, 14 Abercorn, 17 Silk Hope, 25 Westlake, 28 Waters and 31 Skidaway. Routing will be adjusted or removed on the 4 Barnard midday to Chatham Plaza (Inbound only), 12 Henry to SSU, 14 Abercorn & 6 Crosstown into Savannah Mall. Routing will be expanded on the 7 Dot Forsyth to Victory Drive.

The meetings concerning the proposed FY 2023 Budget will take place at 1 p.m. and at 6 p.m.

The meeting concerning CAT’s fixed route modifications will take place at 5 p.m.

All meetings will take place at CAT CENTRAL Headquarters at 900 E. Gwinnett Street.
