2024 St. Patrick’s Day Parade

Saturday, March 16, 2024

Starting @ 10:15 AM from the intersection of Gwinnett and Abercorn

St. Patrick’s Day Parade Shuttles 

City of Savannah:

 

Chatham Area Transit will provide a $5 shuttle that will service the Savannah area on Saturday, March 16. The shuttle will run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on a (1) hour frequency from the three shuttle locations below:

  • Walmart at Island Towne Center, 4725 US-80, Savannah, Ga 31410
    • Riders will be dropped off at Liberty and East Broad
  • Oglethorpe Mall (Parking Deck), 7804 Abercorn Extension, Savannah, Ga 31406
    • Riders will be dropped off at Liberty and East Broad
  • Westside Shopping Center, 411 US-80, Garden City, Ga 31408
    • Riders will be dropped off at Barnard and Oglethorpe

Riders can purchase their $5 St. Patrick’s Day Unlimited Pass by downloading the Token Transit App for free. Cash will not be accepted at the shuttle pickup/drop-off locations.

Port Wentworth:

 

Chatham Area Transit will provide a $5 shuttle that will service the Port Wentworth area on Saturday, March 16. The shuttle will run from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. on a (1) hour frequency from the two shuttle locations below:

  • Port Wentworth City Hall, 7224 GA Highway 21
  • Publix – The Market at Rice Hope, 7936 GA Highway 21
    • Riders will be dropped off at Barnard and Oglethorpe.

Riders can purchase their $5 St. Patrick’s Day Unlimited Pass by downloading the Token Transit App for free. Cash will not be accepted at the shuttle pickup/drop-off locations.

Fixed-Route, Paratransit, and Savannah Belles Ferry Services

Friday, March 15 – Saturday, March 16

 

The City of Savannah is sponsoring zero-fare service from 4:30 a.m. – 10 p.m., for CAT’s Fixed-Route and Paratransit services on Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16.

Reminder: Coolers or large objects are not allowed on CAT’s buses.

Please see operational details below:

The Savannah Belles Ferry:

  • Running Operations: 7 a.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Will not service the City Hall Landing dock after 4 p.m. on Saturday, March 16 – Sunday, March 17. The ferries will only service the Westin Landing Dock on Hutchinson Island and the Waving Girl Landing dock.

DOT Shuttle:

  • Will not operate on Saturday, March 16

Chatham Area Transit recognizes its obligation to transport the public in a safe and efficient manner, and to provide a pleasant and clean atmosphere in which to ride. Accordingly, CAT has put into effect the Passenger Code of Conduct.

Please remember that certain behavior cannot be tolerated on the bus or ferry. Individuals exhibiting disorderly behavior, including but not limited to fighting and destruction of property, may not be allowed to board. Our regular passenger guidelines, including no open containers, weapons, or smoking in unauthorized areas, will also continue to be in effect. We are happy to offer these services, and everyone’s safety remains our top priority.
