CAT board appoints interim CEO

Savannah, GA — The Chatham Area Transit Board of Directors unanimously appointed Chief Operating Officer/Deputy Executive Director Michael Brown as interim CEO/Executive Director during their regular meeting Tuesday.

Brown will head CAT on an interim basis after former CEO/Executive Director Curtis Koleber submitted his resignation notice on June 17 and announced that he had accepted a leadership position with a larger public transit system.

Brown joined CAT as COO in April 2017 after working 11 years with Transdev North America, a private transportation provider. Prior to working with Transdev, Brown worked at the Orange County Transportation Authority for seven years.

Koleber led CAT for almost six years after joining the agency in 2013 as Chief Operating Officer/Deputy Executive Director. He was promoted to CEO in December 2016 after serving as interim CEO for 12 months.
