Upcoming Projects
Master Transit Plan
CAT has developed a Master Transit Plan to guide the future of public transportation in Chatham County. The plan will identify long-term priorities to improve service, expand mobility, and meet the community’s evolving transportation needs.

Service Changes
CAT updates fixed-route service three times per year, unless otherwise noted, to improve reliability, efficiency, and rider experience. These changes may include schedule adjustments, route modifications, and service enhancements based on operational needs and public input. The next service change is expected Summer 2026.Â
Community Engagement & Surveys
CAT is committed to engaging the community through outreach, events, and feedback opportunities that help shape the future of public transit. These efforts ensure riders, stakeholders, and partners have a voice in improving service and planning for the region’s transportation needs.
Quarterly Paratransit Meeting
CAT will host its next Quarterly Paratransit Meeting for community organizations, riders, and stakeholders on July 30, at CAT Central, at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. A Facebook virtual session will take place on July 31at 1 pm.
Paratransit Survey
CAT is conducting a Paratransit Survey to gather feedback from eligible riders on service quality, accessibility, and overall experience. The input collected will help guide improvements to better meet the needs of the community.
