The much anticipated CAT Bike program is ready to launch. Chatham Area Transit, in collaboration with the City of Savannah, will officially open Savannah’s first bike sharing program on Friday, January 24, 2014. A kickoff event at the Joe Murray Rivers, Jr. Intermodal Transit Center begins at 10:00 AM, with bikes available for checkout immediately following.
CAT Bike, the first of its kind in the state of Georgia, offers a fun and sustainable transportation alternative for short trips around Savannah. Available to residents and visitors, CAT Bike memberships include daily, weekly, and annual options through a simple online registration process. Currently, there are two CAT Bike stations: Rivers Exchange at the Transit Center and Ellis Square. Bikes can be checked out and returned to either station. Further details about CAT Bike are available online at www.CATBike.Bcycle.com.
