Chatham Area Transit, in partnership with a local community organization spearheaded by a veteran, is collecting items for care packages that will be sent to active duty soldiers. This effort will allow them to receive a “touch of home” while working for our country on foreign soil, and the community is encouraged to join us in donating any of the items listed below.
Collection boxes have been placed at the Transit Center, located at 610 West Oglethorpe Avenue, and at CAT Central, 900 East Gwinnett Street. Donated items may include: toothpaste, wipes, body wash (male/female), body spray (male/female), magazines, foot powder, tissue (4-pack), hand sanitizer, lotion (male/female), razors, and shaving cream.
CAT is proud to support our Armed Forces, and collections will continue for as long as donations come in.
