9/12/24 – Chatham Area Transit (CAT) is now accepting applications for its Community Surplus Vehicle Donation Program, an initiative designed to support local non-profit organizations in their mission to serve Chatham County residents. Approved by CAT’s Board of Directors, this program offers a rare opportunity for 501(c)(3) non-profits to receive one of three available Paratransit Mobility vehicles.
“This program is a testament to our commitment to the community,” said Stephanie Cutter, Interim Executive Director/CEO of CAT. “We are constantly exploring ways to give back and to support organizations that make a positive impact in our community. Combining resources and working together as we partner to meet the needs of the community is a win for all.”
Eligible non-profit organizations will be selected through a competitive process based on how they plan to utilize the vehicles to enhance their services and outreach.
Vehicle Viewing Dates: Interested organizations can schedule an appointment to view the vehicles at CAT Central, located at 900 East Gwinnett St., on September 13 and 16.
