CAT Board Appoints Interim CEO

The Chatham Area Transit Authority (CAT) Board convened yesterday at 5:00 pm to address personnel issues that arose as a result of an indictment returned by a federal grand jury in the Southern District of Georgia concerning certain Chatham Area Transit employees.  The CAT Board voted to place CAT CEO and Executive Director Dr. Chadwick Reese on indefinite suspension and relieve him of his duties for the duration of the suspension.

Effective immediately, Curtis Koleber has been appointed by the CAT Board as Interim CEO/Executive Director.

Also effective immediately, Joel Morris, Director of Maintenance for CAT, has been suspended indefinitely and relieved of his duties.

The employees of Chatham Area Transit are committed to serving our community through dedication and professionalism. We strive to provide high quality transit and paratransit services to the residents of Chatham County and our riders.
