9/15/2026 – Chatham Area Transit Authority (CAT) announces the appointment of Mia Mance to its Board of Directors.
Mance was appointed by the Chatham County legislative delegation, replacing former board member Bert Brantley.
Mance brings more than two decades of experience in media, marketing, business leadership and community engagement to the CAT board. She is the owner of Mia Talks Media & Marketing and serves as executive director of the Savannah Downtown Business Association, where she represents more than 500 downtown business members. Through these roles, Mance brings a strong understanding of the needs and opportunities facing Savannah’s business community.
“Mia brings a unique combination of business leadership, communications expertise and a deep commitment to serving our community,” said Detric Leggett, chairman of the CAT Board of Directors. “Her understanding of the business community, coupled with her extensive communications experience, will be a tremendous asset to CAT as we continue working to strengthen public transportation and better serve the people of Chatham County.”
A longtime community advocate, Mance has been recognized for her professional and community leadership, including the 2025 Savannah Legacy Leader Award, the 2025 Live Oak Public Library Chatham County Literacy Ambassador recognition and Shelter From the Rain’s 2024 Advocate of the Year.
Mance attended her first official CAT Board of Directors meeting on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2026.
