CAT Suspends Service Due to Dangerous Road Conditions

1/20/25 – Chatham Area Transit Authority (CAT) is closely monitoring all weather conditions in collaboration with Chatham Emergency Management Agency (CEMA) officials.

Due to projected dangerous road conditions, CAT will suspend services at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, and will remain closed on Wednesday, January 22. CAT services are expected to be restored, pending road conditions, at 5:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025.

CAT services include the following:

  • Fixed-Route
  • Paratransit Mobility
  • DOT Shuttle
  • CAT Connect
  • Savannah Belles Ferry

Paratransit riders can make reservations for Thursday and Friday by calling 912 – 629 – 3961 or through the online reservation platform.

All administrative offices will also close at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, and will remain closed on Wednesday, January 22. Administrative offices are expected to reopen, pending road conditions, at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
