Chatham Area Transit (CAT) is hosting a press conference to expand on the recent awarded SMART Grant, secured by U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Rev. Raphael Warnock.
The $1.2 Million SMART (Strengthening Mobility & Revolutionizing Transportation) Grant will allow CAT to explore a new electric vehicle micro-transit project –– which would provide a reliable, on demand service for residents across Chatham County.
The press conference will be held at CAT Central located at 900 E. Gwinnett St., on Wednesday, April 12, 2023.
The press conference will run from 3:00 – 4:00 p.m.
There will be a set time for questions following the press conference.
