CAT to Host Press Conference During APTA President and CEO Visit

Chatham Area Transit (CAT) is pleased to host Mr. Paul Skoutelas, President and CEO of the American Public Transportation Association (APTA), on Monday, June 26, and Tuesday, June 27. Mr. Skoutelas’s visit comes as an important time for CAT as the Board of Directors prepares to adopt the Fiscal Year 2024 Operating Budget and 5-Year Capital Plan.

As part of his visit, Mr. Skoutelas will address the future of public transportation and emphasize the critical role that public transportation plays in the development and progress of Chatham County.

Following CAT’s regular board meeting, Mr. Skoutelas will be available for a press conference to discuss the importance of public transportation, specifically tailored to the unique needs and opportunities of Chatham County, on June 27 at 3:00 p.m., at CAT Central.

“CAT is proud to have APTA’s leadership in Savannah and proud to showcase our progress. Sharing the national perspective on public transit will be valuable as CAT sets its course for innovation and excellence in serving Chatham County residents, businesses, and visitors,” CAT Executive Director and CEO Faye DiMassimo said.
