The Chatham County Commission on Friday approved the appointment of three commissioners to the Chatham Area Transit Authority.
Commissioners James “Jay” Jones and Tabitha Odell were both re-appointed following the expiration of their one-year terms. Commissioner Helen Stone was appointed as a new member, although she has served on the CAT board previously.
Stone replaced Commissioner Chester Ellis following the expiration in June of his one-year term on the CAT board.
The nine-member CAT board meets at 10 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Joe Murray Rivers, Jr. Intermodal Transit Center, 610 W. Oglethorpe Avenue. These meetings are open to the public.
The next board meeting is on Aug. 27.
