The Chatham County Commission on Friday approved the appointment of Gertrude Robinson to the Chatham Area Transit Authority.
Robinson is a retired education administrator from the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System who continues to help train new teachers by serving as a GaTAPP Supervisor.
Robinson replaced former CAT board member, Howard French, who had served as chairman prior to the expiration of his term in June. Robinson’s term is for five years.
The nine-member CAT Board meets at 10 a.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month at the Joe Murray Rivers, Jr. Intermodal Transit Center, 610 W. Oglethorpe Avenue. These meetings are open to the public.
The next board meeting is on Tuesday.
