CAT launches new CAT Outbound community newsletter

On Dec. 1, Chatham Area Transit published the first edition of the new CAT Outbound community newsletter. The monthly newsletter is another way for the public to get the latest CAT news, while also learning more about the public transit agency and the people that make it work. There are a lot of great things happening with CAT, along with many challenges to overcome, and we look forward to sharing the CAT story with the community.

The free printed newsletter is available at the ticket window at the Joe Murray Rivers, Jr. Intermodal Transit Center, 610 W. Oglethorpe Avenue. In addition, current and past editions of the newsletter can be viewed online and downloaded on our website at www.catchacat.org/media/enews/. Please let us know by emailing marketing@catchacat.org if you would like to have some copies delivered to your neighborhood’s community center or another location where you think there would be interest in the publication.

CAT also continues to publish the weekly electronic newsletter, the CAT Express, every Monday, which can also be found at www.catchacat.org/media/enews/.

In addition, the public can sign up to CAT’s text notification service to have CAT news texted directly to their phones. The texts include notifications of major service alerts that impact services for a day or longer, including schedule adjustments, bus stop closures and route changes. In addition, subscribers will be notified of upcoming public meetings and events. Simply text RIDECAT to 41411 to subscribe.

And of course, updates, events and some fun stuff is regularly posted to our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram pages.

We hope you find all these resources informative and look forward to catching you on a CAT!
