Chatham Area Transit (CAT) is excited to join the Savannah State University community in celebrating the much-anticipated homecoming parade. To ensure the success and safety of this festive event, CAT will implement temporary reroutes for Fixed-Route operations.
The reroutes are detailed below:
Routes servicing the Joe Muray Rivers Jr., Intermodal Transit Center:
3 (West Chatham)
3B (Augusta Rd)
17 Silk Hope
7C Cloverdale
All other routes will be serviced at Barnard & Oglethorpe Avenue:
4 Banard 25 Westlake
6 Crosstown 27 Waters
10 East Savannah 28 Waters
14 Abercorn
The temporary reroute will end and CAT will return to normal operations at 2 p.m.
CAT will also be utilizing the DOT shuttles to take riders back and forth to the Joe Murray Rivers Jr., Intermodal Transit Center, and Barnard & Oglethorpe Avenue.
Paratransit services and The Savannah Belles Ferry will continue to run under normal operations.
