Chatham Area Transit is set to give away its first surplus vehicle following the implementation of a new vehicle donation policy. The policy allows for the donation of available surplus CAT vehicles to eligible 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations that serve the residents of Chatham County. The donation program is meant to help address unmet public transportation

Savannah, Ga. – Chatham Area Transit will continue requiring passengers on CAT vehicles wear masks into next year to help prevent the spread of Covid-19, as required by the Transportation Security Administration. This week, the TSA confirmed that the federal face mask requirement for all transportation networks, including public transportation, will be extended through mid-January.
Chatham Area Transit will be hosting a free vaccination clinic this month at the Joe Murray Rivers Jr. Intermodal Transit Center, 610 W. Oglethorpe Avenue. The J.C.
