Chatham Area Transit is holding a job fair from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, March 24, at the Joe Murray Rivers, Jr. Intermodal Transit Center, 610 West Oglethorpe Avenue. Chatham Area Transit is shutting down Savannah Belles Ferry service early tonight due to a staffing shortage. As a result, ferry service will be stopping at 6:30 p.m. Ferry service is expected to resume its regular schedule on Saturday.
Chatham Area Transit will continue requiring passengers on CAT vehicles to wear masks through mid-April to help prevent the spread of Covid-19, as required by the Transportation Security Administration. On March 10, the TSA announced that the federal face mask requirement for all transportation networks, including public transportation, will be extended through April 18. The
Chatham Area Transit is shutting down Savannah Belles Ferry service early tonight due to an employee emergency.
